Ironing facilities are available.You will be served a delicious award winning farmhouse breakfast, freshly prepared on the Aga from top quality home grown and locally sourced produce. Set in the former grounds of Sandybrook Hall, an elegant early 19th century manor house, Sandybrook Country Park provides delightful views across the surrounding countryside.
The luxury Pinelodges provide attractive and very comfortable self-catering accommodation. Fully insulated, they are cosy in winter yet cool and airy in summer. The lodges are furnished to the highest standard with one, two, three or four bedroom options, sleeping up to eight people. Luxurious Elvaston lodges sleeping 2, are perfect for a romantic weekend, with sauna and whirlpool jet bath. Outdoor hot tubs are available on the verandah of some lodges.
Each lodge has open plan lounge / dining / kitchen including microwave, all utensils, bed linen, duvets and towels. TV, CD and DVD player are installed for your entertainment. Pets are welcome in certain lodges.
Lodges are available for hire on a weekly basis (starting Friday/Saturday/Monday), or for a short break at the weekend (Friday - Monday) or midweek (Monday - Friday). Weekly prices start from £350 per week for a four-berth lodge.
Just a mile north of Ashbourne, the southern gateway to the Peak District, the park is close to many tourist attractions. These include the scenic beauty of Dovedale, Tissington (and the Tissington Trail for a lovely walk into the market town of Ashbourne) Ilam and the exciting Alton Towers.
The Park itself has a lovely woodland walk through a blue bell wood and stunning pinetum of mature specimen trees. The Coach House restaurant and bar provides superb dining facilities. Use of the indoor swimming pool, sauna* and spa* is included in your holiday (* age restrictions apply). Cycles are available to hire to explore the local tracks and trails.
Many activities are available locally including golf, fishing, horse riding and sailing.

The Bunk Barns have been converted from the existing Grade 2 listed farm buildings to high quality group bunk barn accommodation. The facilities in each include radiator central heating, full self-catering kitchens complete with all the cutlery, crockery, pots, pans and utensils you will need. Basic blankets and pillows are provided along with pillowcases and some tea towels, but sleeping bags/duvets and towels are required.
The kitchens are equipped with stainless 'range' cookers with extractor hoods, fridges, microwaves, toasters and kettles.
The bunk barns are intended for groups looking for a base rather than a 'holiday cottage'. As such there is no garden or yard area for children, however when the campsite is open in the summer there is plenty of space to play games, etc.
Our latest Bunk Barn is now open, sleeping up to 14 people in two downstairs rooms of 6 and 8 bunks. The upstairs is an impressive large open dining/kitchen room with timber clad vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, it is capable (just!) of seating groups who book all of the barns (with all associated cutlery/crockery etc). There are 2 separate wcs and 2 separate showers.
The Hen House
The Hen House is a bunk barn for families and groups of up to 8 persons.
The Hen House has two bedrooms upstairs with 4 bunk beds in each, along with a luxury shower room/wc, all framed in the exposed beams of this listed barn. Downstairs is a large kitchen/dining room with pew seating, a downstairs wc and ample kitchen facilities for up to 8.
The Little Barn
The Little Barn is a bunk barn for famililes and groups of up to 6 persons.
The Little Barn offers the same range of facilities as the Hen House, except it comprises one large room with 6 bunks with a luxury shower/wc room upstairs; down stairs the open plan kitchen/dining room with ample facilities for self catering, and another wc.
The Hadfield Barn is £1070 per week for the sole use of 14 persons.
The Hen House is £595 per week for sole use of 8 persons.
The Little Barn is £475 per week for sole use of 6 persons.
The Hadfield Barn is £245 per night.
The Hen House is £140 per night.
The Little Barn is £105 per night.

Castleton Riding House Farm Cottages Farm-based Holiday Cottage accommodation
Riding House Farm is a traditional Derbyshire hill farm rearing beef and sheep. It nestles under the Losehill Ridge with wonderful south facing views across the Hope Valley. It is a walkers' paradise with direct access to the footpath network.
Riding House Farm is a working farm of 140 acres. If you bring your wellies you will be able to see the newborn lambs in Spring, visit the calf house and even feed the hens! There is an abundance of wildlife around especially in our own secluded bluebell wood.
Milkmaid's Cottage is a lovely spacious one-bedroom cottage with a 6' bed. It has two bathrooms and an optional double sofa bed in the sitting room for occasional use.
Shepherd's Cottage is a two-bedroom cottage, one double and one twin, with two bathrooms. It is ideal for four people. Many of the original old beams still feature in this cottage.
Both cottages are furnished and equipped to the same high standard with careful attention to detail to make your stay memorable. Each cottage has full central heating and double glazing, two bathrooms: one upstairs with a bath, basin and WC, and a downstairs shower room with basin and WC.
With TV, CD, DVD in the cosy sitting rooms and oven hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer in the kitchen areas everything is provided for you. There is also an adjacent laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer for your free use. Wifi also available Outside is your private parking area with seating to enjoy a barbecue and drink, enjoying the view across the valley.
From your doorstep you can take the footpath directly to Lose Hill Ridge and enjoy another spectacular view over the Edale Valley to the famous Kinder Scout. David and Denise Matthews have farmed at Riding House for over 20 years. They are the modern day Shepherd and Milkmaid! If needed, they will be on hand to help you make the most of your stay in the Peak District National Park. Well behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement
The Hope Valley is an ideal base for exploring the treasures of the Peak District. In addition to the wonderful scenery, there are numerous attractions including nearby Castleton caves and castle, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and the plague village of Eyam. If you have any energy left after walking the hills, the Hope Valley offers climbing, cycling, pony trekking, swimming, angling, gliding and parascending. Or why not just relax!

The immediate area includes Dove Stone reservoir with its circular footpath and links to two further reservoirs Greenfield and Yeoman Hey. There are both gentle local walks and much more challenging walks on the nearby segment of the Pennine Way. The Dove Stone Sailing Club makes for a particularly picturesque view when sailing is in progress, often one day at the weekend and one weekday evening. The excellent RSPB reserve also adjoins Dovestone Park. A quiet tree lined private road takes you to the nearby village of Greenfield with shops and pubs. A little further and you are in Uppermill with its many stone buildings, larger range of shops, eateries, museum and the attractive canal with narrowboat trip options. The Hayloft, a former cow byre and hayloft, is superbly situated high up on Eyam Edge in Highcliffe, a small hamlet above the historic village of Eyam, on a south-facing slope looking out over the village.
Recently converted to a high standard throughout, the Hayloft offers luxury 4 Star (Gold) self-catering holiday cottage accommodation for 6 people in 3 bedrooms, all with en-suite shower/WC. There are solid oak cottage doors, and solid oak floors upstairs and slate floors with under-floor heating downstairs.
The bedrooms (1 double with king-size bed, 2 with twin beds) are downstairs. Upstairs, the light and spacious first floor features exposed roof trusses and has a well-equipped kitchen, ample dining space, and living room area complete with wood-burning stove. There is also a separate cloakroom (WC) on the first floor. To the rear, there is a private terraced garden with outdoor furniture, barbecue and log store, and plenty of parking in the farmyard in front.
Highcliffe and Eyam are in the heart of the Peak District National Park, on the boundary between the White Peak and the Dark Peak – a perfect location for visiting Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Castleton and the Peak towns of Tideswell, Bakewell and Buxton. It's a short walk down to the historic plague village of Eyam, and only a mile along the Edge to our excellent local pub, the Barrel Inn at Bretton.
There are lots of activities too, with excellent walking and cycling from the doorstep, and rock climbing on limestone and gritstone close by.
